Second post

The last post was - obviously - removed by the moderator.

As a joke (after another blogger questioned why my song had been removed but the "Doesn't Harry look like Billy Bragg" was still there) I posted this:

(to the tune of "thumbellina")

Moderator, moderator, tiny little thing,
Moderator's stance? To the rules they cling,
Moderator, when you come here you delete it all
When we drift of topic, you remove our scrawls

So you're no bigger than my thumb, than my thumb, than my thumb;
Sweet moderator don't be glum.
Now, now, now, ah, ah, ah, come, come, come!

Moderator, moderator, tiny little thing
Moderator dance, moderator sing,
Moderator, what's the difference if you're very small?
When your heart is full of love, you're nine feet tall!

Yes, Ebren, I got banned too. I don't know why - I haven't exchanged mails with Seani, just sent a mail to "registration" as it tells you to on this site.
As yet, no answer.
Off topic? I think that the poster was correct who pointed out that all Harry's (in my opinion wonderful) articles are off-topic, so how can any
comments on them be on-topic.
This bunch remind me of school prefects.

greengrass - you were part of the massacre at Harry Peason blog?

Gutted.

It's hard to see how any post on a Harry thread coulld be off topic - but it was very introvertyed when they started deleting.

My view is - off topic, delete post.

Offensive - ban user.

I think that would keep everyone happy, but I struggle to see how either of us were offensive.

Oh well - find a new email address, pick a new name come back and join the fun.

Join me and Sir Olly in glorious exile.

ebren -
no, I can't see how we were offensive.
When I read your first song I thought, "This is pretty good!", then I thought, "Bloody hell! He's having a go at me! Or is he?" My next thought (as a pro songwriter) was that the uncertainty in me meant that the song deserved an even higher rating. Whether or not you actually were having a go at me or not is immaterial...
Then came the next song, and you (jokingly?) expressed a fear of being banned. I posted my hopes that you wouldn't - then the slaughter began.
It pisses me off no end, because I
contributed a lot to a virtual tap-room the other day on Pleat's blog where we really had some fun at the arse-end of a wanked-out thread.
Anyway, I've mailed Sean I and I'll see if he condescends to answer. I
may take your advice - thanks! - and open a new account.
All the best,
GG

GG - I'm blushing at the praise.

I was having a bit of a go as I felt the banter was a little exclusive.

But, I can't really comment as I had been involved in a load of the Pleat stuff - so I thought I'd express myself through song, and it scanned so easily.

The second song was rubbish, but moderator - again - scans perfectly with thumbelina, and I couldn't stop myself.

Shame, I might have been able to keep blogging.

All the best - I will have fun trying and track down your new name.

Have fun,

Ebren.

Ebren,
things are going too far now. Offside has threatened never to post again until I am reinstated. You well know that he and I were having an exclusive laugh on Harry's blog the other day - we often do that kind of harmless larking about, and the exchanges with him have given me a lot of pleasure.
I'm really touched at his concern - and very grateful for the support shown by other posters - but I really don't want him or anyone else
to do a Trappist for my sake; I don't know if he is aware that I can post under a different name.
Any idea how I can sort this?
If YOU read this, Offside, stay on and fight!
Off to bed now. Goodnight!

Saw that GG - it's weird reading that thread (also ironic, I have never in my life posted an Ebren comment on a Brand thread - I find him an odious squit).

Sort of like attending your wake.

I like Offside too - and if he stops typing the list of Premiership cocktails will never be complete and extrodianryvanpersie will fail French!

I'll post something on the main blog telling people not to go on strike.

I assume you are with me on this.

Jesus ebren, was that all? I thought you'd had a montymore meltdown and gone down in a fiery furnace of vitriol and personal abuse. Maybe the mod in question has a Danny Kaye phobia, or more likely SMS (small man syndrome).

I will watch out for an enthusiastic Kingstonian post or an apposite link to an eight month old article from a new poster. Then I'll know the Ebster is back.

Good luck
